Senior Sales Engineer Logistics

Position in the organisation

  • Reports to the CSO
  • Empowers the commercial efforts to extend the customers base in an international scene
  • Is a team player in the sales division and participates in the "qualification & decision team" of the company.  He combines a profound sales experience and maturity to take affirmative action.
  • Uses a "no-nonsense" approach and evolves into a "trust seller"
  • Builds a European network of customer relations in the logistics and material handling arena.

 

Background and basic skills

Extended knowledge of the techniques, key players and peculiarities of the material handling world, in sales and marketing matters :

  • Crate, box and pallet goods conditioning.
  • Sorting and order picking systems
  • Internal transport and storage systems

 

Basic knowledge and analytical approach of :

  • Software components on PC and PLC (windows & data bases ( Oracle en MSSQL), MES, SCADA, ERP, WMS, ...)
  • Product knowlegde and related market attention for items like data acquisition, barcode, RFID, vision and image analysis, sensors
  • Industrial systems, PC hardware and control panels, PLC, Bus- concepts (Ethernet, Profibus, CAN,..)
  • Industrial regulations

 

Administrative sills :

  • Structural and fluent text-editing
  • Word, Visio, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Writing NL, F, E
  • Fluent reading and speaking NL, F, E, D

  • Pragmatic
  • Empathic attention for the goals of a project
  • Anticipation towards bottlenecks and uncertainties in a project 
  • Awareness of cost and revenue aspects
  • Listening skills
  • Special advantages of this personality : - dedication, passion, creative and goal oriented reasoning
  • Good presentation and expression skills in front of an audience

 

The perfect candidate :

  • We look for the exceptional "executive" with good affinity of the World of "material handling", shop floor control, industrial engineering
  • Has a career in the related sector, in sales and marketing with the required problem solving attitude 
  • Combines pragmatism and understanding of the needs in this position
  • Has his/her office in Huizingen and overlooks an international market that needs frequent travelling
  • Speaks fluently Dutch, English, French and German
